then friday my dad, my little brother Nicholas and I went up to BYU-Idaho to go on a campus tour. we were showed around campus and we toured the dorms. we made a four year plan with one of the counselors, had a shake at sammy's & went to the army surplus store (to make the trip worthwhile for my brother) where he tried to buy me pepper spray...... cause i'll need tons of protection up in rexburg....... awwe what a sweetheart. anyways the day really did get me excited to start school there in the fall! it will be a fun good experience!! but the next day i started feeling a little nervous... where was i going to live? what if my roommate is weird? what classes should i take? do i want to teach elementary or high school? i was absentmindedly talking to my little sister and i told her i was nervous to start college... here is the advice she gave me..
"ray you are going to meet so many new friends, i mean i know how you feel. i was nervous to start kindergarten but now i have made so many new friends and i love it."
mind you she is 6 years old... haha i love her!

Girl, you were totally rockin' that feather boa!
ReplyDeleteI love the Ice Cream Man.
And I love that Matt has his mission call and that you guys were dressed like the Bobsy Twins. When does he enter the MTC?
I'm gonna cross my heart and hope to die that your roommate ends up being a girl from Cokeville. Then you'll have added incentive to come visit our little town! By the way, put aside all your other plans and bring Matt to Cokeville (if he hasn't left yet) for the 24th of July. There's a small town parade with Elder L. Tom Perry as the grand marshall (his wife Barbara is from here), a devotional program where a General Authority speaks in our chapel, and Lily will be calf riding and barrel racing in the kids' rodeo. You know you wanna come! (Plus Matt could wear his chaps and fit right in!)
This is fabulous that you have your own blog now. Spring break looks like you had tons of fun :-) Ask your dad (if he didn't tell you about it already)about the trip he and I made there in October 1999 just before Y2K.
ReplyDeleteBig congrats to Matt on his mission call. Let me know when his farewell is and I will come.
Sue is right about Cokeville being a great place to be for 24 July. Maybe I'll go there too:-)
yay!! im so pumped and i love your blog! that is so awesome that you brought him home a new york shirt and then he got his call there! love it! and love you!
